Two charged after traffic stop on Thruway

CLARKSTOWN – A Pennsylvania man is facing criminal charges after being found in possession of cocaine. The drugs had a street value of about $2,500, police said.

At about 10 p.m. Monday, February 8, State troopers from the Tarrytown barracks, pulled over a car for speeding on the northbound Thruway in the Town of Clarkstown.

The driver, later identified as Peter Pavlick, 40, of Sweet Valley, PA, was found in possession of about 18 grams of cocaine.

A passenger, identified as David Folk, 25, also of Sweet Valley, was wanted for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree from City of Middletown Police.

Pavlick was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Folk was turned over to Middletown PD on the active warrant.
