Hein hopes to position Ulster for the future in his state of the county message

Hein:  "... about
jobs and taxes ..."

KINGSTON – As Ulster County Executive Michael Hein begins his second year in office, he plans on laying out his vision for the county in his State of the County message on Wednesday. That vision includes tightening spending for the county taxpayer, he said.

“This is about jobs and taxes and the ability for the Ulster County government, in conjunction with the state government and the federal government, to work together to serve the people; it’s a collective taxpayer,” he said.

Hein will address where the county stands now and where he sees it heading in future years.

He will deliver his address at the beginning of the monthly county legislature meeting, if the pending major storm doesn’t force a postponement
