Thompson man arrested for Sullivan robbery

LIBERTY – A Town of Thompson man, wanted by Vienna, Missouri authorities, has been arrested in Sullivan County on a robbery charge.

State Police and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrest of Leslie Marshall, 42, for robbery in the third degree, resisting arrest and as a fugitive from justice.

Also arrested were Thomas Knack, 27, and Lenny Ackerman, Jr., 25, both of the Town of Liberty. They were charged with tampering with physical evidence.

On February 2, troopers received a report of a robbery at the Medi-Shoppe pharmacy in Livingston Manor.  Investigation revealed a man, later identified as Marshall, entered the store, demanded drugs and then fled with a quantity of drugs. A police radio report at the time said the suspect had taken several boxes of Sudafed.

Police determined that Knack and Ackerman drove Marshall from the scene of the robbery and later destroyed evidence.

On February 4, Knack and Ackerman were located in the Town of Liberty and arrested. Marshall was located in the Town of Thompson, fled into a wooded area, but was apprehended.

A computer check determined he was wanted as a fugitive from Vienna, Missouri, where he is wanted by the Maries County Sheriff’s Office for felony traffic violations and resisting arrest.

Knack and Ackerman were arraigned and scheduled to reappear in Liberty Town Court. Marshall was committed to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
