POUGHKEEPSIE – A concerned citizen is being credited with tipping off Poughkeepsie Police to two 14-year-old boys who were observed casing houses on Lockerman Avenue.

The two were walking on one side of the street, then the other, intently looking at houses. The pair stopped in front of a house the citizen knew was vacant and he saw them go to the back door and try to get in.

That’ when he called city police, who responded and took the two boys, both Poughkeepsie residents, into custody.

They were both charged in Family court as juvenile delinquents.
