| Orange County GOP chairman may run for 19th CD |
|
GOSHEN – Orange County Republican Party Chairman William DeProspo
Thursday said he is giving serious consideration to running for the GOP
nomination for Congress in the 19th District. That’s the seat currently
held by Democrat John Hall. “I have been approached from an awful lot of people from throughout the five counties, a lot of groups, a lot of organizations, and I am giving it very serious consideration, speaking with my family and a lot of supporters through the 19th Congressional District,” he said. “I anticipate coming to a decision, probably over the next couple of weeks, as to what my future holds in store.” One candidate has officially announced for the GOP nod. Nan Hayworth of Westchester County said she is in the running for the congressional seat. |
