One in custody, one sought in gas station robbery

MIDDLETOWN – Police in Middletown have one man in custody and are looking for a second suspect in connection with the January 11 armed robbery of the Sunoco gas station at 154 Dolson Avenue.

Arrested on Monday, February 1 was Alvin Rodriguez, 18, of Concord Lane in Middletown.

He was charged with first-degree robbery for allegedly entering the gas station along with another person, while armed with knives. They robbed the store clerk as well as two patrons.

Rodriguez is in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Police continue to investigate as they look for a second suspect.
