New York City man held on drug charges after arrest on Thruway

CLARKSTOWN – Thruway State Police have arrested a Brooklyn man and seized drugs with an estimated street value of $12,000 after a traffic stop on the Thruway in the Town of Clarkstown early Tuesday.

Police pulled over Paul Greaves, 27, on several traffic infractions on the northbound Thruway and when they inspected his vehicle, they found 7.5 ounces of cocaine, 4.7 ounces of crack cocaine and two pounds of marijuana.

Greaves was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a felony, criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

A female passenger in the car was not charged and released.

The street value of the cocaine was $10,000 and the street value of the marijuana was $2,000, police said.
