At the time of his death, Col. Adrian Pone’ was assigned to NATO Combined Air Operations Center Five in Poggio Renatico, Italy. Prior to that assignment, he commanded the 510th Fighter Squadron in Aviano, Italy, where he flew the F-16C.

Pone’, 46, was born on December 20, 1964 in Kingston and was raised in New Paltz, where he graduated from New Paltz High School in 1983.
