| Ulster Board of Elections asks for additional funding |
|
KINGSTON – The Ulster County Board of Elections needs an additional $35,000 for this fall’s elections. Officials of the board came before the county legislature’s Budget and Finance Committee Tuesday, said Chairman Richard Gerentine. “They need monies for printing of the ballots; their expenses are greater than they anticipated, and also that there are so primary election primaries, they didn’t anticipate as many. They need extra money for inspectors, monies for the voting machines, custodial people,” he said. The committee took no action on the request.
