|
GOSHEN - Kim Gore was charged by State Police at Middletown for the June 2009 accident that resulted in the death of her 3-year-old child. Gore, 40, formerly of Cuddebackville, was arrested last Friday, on charges stemming from an automobile accident earlier this year. She was processed on charges following her indictment for aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter in the second degree, vehicular manslaughter in the first degree, vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide, driving while ability impaired by drugs and reckless driving. All charges are felonies with the exception of the reckless driving charge. Records show that Gore has two prior DWAI convictions. Police alleged that on June 23, Gore was driving on Route 209 in the Town of Deerpark when she ran off the roadway. Her daughter, Sierra Gore, 3, who was not secured in a child safety seat, died as a result of injuries. Subsequent investigation found that Kim Gore was operating the vehicle with prescription drugs and illegal drugs in her blood at the time of the accident. Gore was arrested at a private residence in Pearl River and transported to Orange County, where she appeared in court and entered a plea of ‘not guilty’. Bail was set at $100,000. She is in the Orange County Jail. |
