Malak arraigned on murder charge

KINGSTON – Daniel Malak was arraigned in Ulster County Court, Thursday, on an indictment voted by an Ulster County Grand Jury, accusing him of murder in the second degree in the killing of Joseph Martin in 1996, in Kerhonkson. Martin was 15 years old at the time.

Malak is the second suspect charged with killing Martin.

Alexander Barsky pled guilty a year ago to a reduced charge of manslaughter.  He was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. 

The case against  Malak was adjourned to December 16.
