| Mid-Hudson senators form bipartisan delegation |
|
NANUET – State senators from both sides of the aisle have formed a delegation to address regional issues head on. Democrats Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Jeffrey Klein, Ruth Hassell-Thompson and Suzi Oppenheimer have teamed up with Republicans Thomas Morahan, Vincent Leibell, Stephen Saland, William Larkin and John Bonacic to review and sponsor state legislation and address regional issues. The Hudson Valley Delegation will meet on a regular basis and plans to sit down with the MTA Chairman Jay Walder to discuss MTA policy and operations. He is certainly going to get an earful from the lawmakers, since no one in the entire Mid-Hudson area of the MTA region is happy about the new payroll tax and other fees imposed to bail out the New York City transit system. |
