Political notes
  • Orange County executive candidate Patricia O’Dwyer has received the endorsement of the Orange County Democratic Women and the Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County. 
  • Westchester County-wide candidates are joining those at the local level to open up a Republican campaign office in Yorktown Heights on Tuesday. Westchester County District Attorney candidate Dan Schorr, Yorktown Supervisor candidate Susan Siegel, Yorktown Council candidate Dr. Terrence Murphy, Yorktown Council candidate Mark Drexel, Yorktown Justice candidate Sal Lagonia, County Legislator candidate John Testa, and County Legislator candidate Greg Kane have all united in both message and resources to make this campaign headquarters a reality.  
  • Rochester Town Judge Deborah Schneer has been endorsed in her race for Ulster County Court judge by the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters, Local Union 19 according to Kevin Smith, secretary-treasurer of the union, based in Rock Tavern. The endorsement is in addition to other union endorsements by the Service Employees International Union and the Hudson Valley Labor Federation.
