Monticello man arrested for homicide

Charged with second-degree murder was Herbert Lee Junior, 40, of 10 Moon Manor Apartments in Monticello. He is charged with killing Ashley Osborne, 22, on Saturday. Police did not say what type of weapon, if any, was used.
The woman had been staying at 10 West End Avenue. Police learned she had been connected to local drug activity and the investigation led them to Junior, who was a known associate and had been seen with Osborne at a local bar during the early morning hours of October 10.
Investigators from State Police at Liberty and Fallsburg Town Police were assisted in the case by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
