| Oros forms “common sense” PAC |
|
PEEKSKILL – As Westchester County Legislator George Oros retired from elective politics at the end of the year, he is activating his new Common Sense Now Political Action Committee. Oros, who Thursday announced he is opening an office in Peekskill, said his PAC will be aimed at “putting common sense back into government,” and that includes everything from local government, to school districts to Congress. “It will be staffed by some volunteers conducting research into various issues and as my tenure winds down in the legislature beginning in January I will be much more active with it and will be putting together seminars and workshops for elected officials and the general public just to point out some of the ways government can operate more effectively and efficiently by applying common sense,” he said. Oros said the PAC will seek donations to help fund its programs. Ann Kutter was also named the PAC’s executive director on Thursday. |
