| Teacher charged with engaging in sex act with student |

| VILLAGE OF FLORIDA – A 40-year-old Sugar
Loaf man, who is a teacher at S.S. Seward Institute, the high school in
the Village of Florida, has been charged with criminal sexual act in the
third degree, a felony. It is alleged that Brian Egan engaged in oral sex in the school with a 16-year-old female student. The incidents occurred during after school activities on several occasions between September 2004 and April 2005, State Police allege. Egan was interviews on Thursday by State Police BCI members where statements and information relating to the incidents was obtains and Egan was arrested. He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $2,500 bail of $5,000 bond. Anyone with additional information relating to allegations of criminal conduct by Egan is asked to call State Police BCI in Monroe at 845-782-8311.
