Patterson man charged in Putnam Lake burglaries

PATTERSON – A Patterson man was arrested, October 1, by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on charges stemming from the reported burglary of Putnam Lake Pizza and attempted entry into Anna’s Limousine Service.

Steven Hadad, 42, is and charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted burglary, both felonies. He was arraigned and released without bail pending a future court appearance.  If convicted of the most serious crime, he could face up to seven years in state prison.

On September 22, the sheriff’s department was alerted to an audible alarm sounding in the vicinity of the Putnam Lake Pizza at 65 Fairfield Drive in Putnam Lake.

Police found the eatery had been broken into. The officer checked the nearby limousine company and found an attempt had been made to break in.

A K-9 officer and K-9 “Dunkin” joined the search.
