Girls killed in Huguenot house fire laid to rest

PORT JERVIS – A Mass of Christian Burial for Devon Alyce Fahey of Port Jervis, one of three girls killed in a house fire in Huguenot last Monday, was held on Friday.

The 12-year-old was sleeping over at her girlfriend’s home when the house caught fire.

The other two victims, Julia Kristen Dorritie, 10, and her sister, Kassandra Nicole Dorritie, 12, will be buried on Saturday following a Mass of Christian Burial.

Devon Fahey was the daughter of Kieran and Wendy Hughson Fahey.

She was an honor student and graduate of Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School. She was a seventh grader at the Port Jervis Middle School where she played on the modified girls’ soccer team.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Matamoras, PA with Rev. August Ricciardi officiating. Cremation will be at H.G. Smith crematory in Stroudsburg, PA.

Funeral services for the Dorritie sisters will be held Saturday at St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis with Rev. George Hafermann officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Jervis.

Julia and Kassandra were the daughters of Michael and Carolyn McAleer Dorritie.

Julia was a sixth grader at Hamilton Bicentennial School where she was on the High Honor Roll. She was a Girl Scout and a cheerleader for the Giants in the Port Jervis Youth Football League.

Kassandra was a seventh grader at Port Jervis Middle School where she was a member of the Modified Girls Soccer Team and also placed soccer for the Port Jervis youth Soccer League.

She was a Girl Scout and a cheerleader for the Giants in the Port Jervis Youth Football League.

Funeral arraignments for all three girls were handled by Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis.

The wake for Devon Fahey was held on Thursday; the wakes for the Dorritie sisters were held on Friday.
