LARCHMONT – Republican Larchmont Mayor Liz Feld says she is “actively considering” a run for US Senate against Democratic incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand, of Columbia County.  Feld said she will make a final decision “sooner rather than later.”

Feld, a former White House aide, said the “ever-growing debt coming out of Washington is alarming.” The top priority of this country has to be debt reduction and long-term tax relief, she said.

If Feld does throw her hat in the ring, it could pit two Hudson Valley women against each other, if both survive possible primaries.
