| Owner of therapy company charged with grand larceny |

WHITE PLAINS – The owner of a Bedford Hills company that provided physical and occupational therapy services under contract to the Westchester County Health Department was arrested Wednesday on a charge of second-degree grand larceny, a felony. Lisa Bruno, 36, of Westport, Connecticut surrendered to Westchester County Police following a six month investigation into the company. She is accused of using several unlicensed physical and occupational therapists to provide the contracted services to children in Northern Westchester. In addition to Bruno two employees of her company, Care Point, have been arrested in recent days. Tatiana Sousa, 29, of Danbury, CT and Marina Zumaeta, 36, of New Milford, CT, were each charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony. They are accused of working as therapists without the required state license. Bruno is also accused of submitting duplicate bills for occupational and physical therapy and being paid over $850,000. She was arraigned and released on $100,000 bail. Additional charges are anticipated, police said.
