| Man charged with selling marijuana to high school students |

KINGSTON – Members of the URGENT task force Friday afternoon arrested a Kingston man for allegedly selling marijuana to Kingston High School students. Police received several complaints of drug sales to students at 138 Clifton Avenue in Kingston. Police secured a warrant and searched that address seizing about nine ounces of marijuana, drug packaging material, electronic scales, and over $1,000 in cash. Burton Aldrich, 47, of that address was charged with felony criminal sale of marijuana in the second and third degrees and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in Kingston City Court and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance. Police also arrested Mark Vansteenburg, 44, of Chugiak, Alaska. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and was issued an appearance ticket returnable to city court.
