WALKER VALLEY – A Town of Shawangunk man was located Sunday four hours after he was reported missing and overdue from hunting.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Monday reported John DeFelippis, 69, was located after emergency responders conducted a search of a wooded area.

He had suffered serious injuries, believed to be from a fall from a tree stand, police said.  DeFelippis was flown to Westchester Medical Center with unknown injuries.     

Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Walker Valley Fire Department, state forest rangers, Pine Bush Ambulance and Mobile Life Support Services.
