| Funeral set for trooper killed in crash |

BROWNVILLE – Trooper David Lane, who was killed in a car crash on Route 32 in the Town of Catskill on November 4, will be laid to rest on Monday, November 9. Lane was passing another vehicle when the two collided. The trooper’s car ran off the road and struck a tree. The funeral service for Lane, who was assigned to Troop F at the Catskill barracks, will be held on Monday, November 9 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville. A 1997 graduate of General Brown High School in Dexter, Lane served in the US Army where he saw active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a state trooper for four years. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Cheryl Lane of Dexter, his brother, Stephen Lane, Jr. of Webster, and his fiancée, Kelly Miller, of Catskill. |
