NEW WINDSOR – Former Orange County Executive Louis Heimbach has been presented Pattern for Progress’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

The honor came at Thursday’s annual reception of the Hudson Valley regional planning organization, held in New Windsor.

Heimbach served as Town of Wallkill supervisor, and later as Orange County executive; he has also served for years on a number of organizational boards.

Professionally, he is president of Sterling Forest LLC in Tuxedo.
Pattern’s Economic Development Award was presented to Orange Regional Medical Center and the Regional Achievement Award, for collaboration in their opposition to the MTA payroll tax, went to: Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Partnership, Rockland Business Association, Rockland Economic Development Corporation, The Business Council of Westchester; and The Business Council of New York State.
