| Ellenville man charged with drug possession, tampering with evidence |

WURTSBORO – An Ellenville man has been arrested following a traffic stop on Route 17 by Wurtsboro State troopers. Michael Walton, 36, was found to be in possession of over 80 grams of crack cocaine and drug packaging material. During the investigation, he attempted to conceal and destroy the drug, police said. Walton was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies, and resisting arrest and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors. He was arrested at 5 a.m. on November 1, arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance. |
