SAUGERTIES – Police identified the man who was killed when his SUV ran off the road on Glasco Turnpike, early Sunday morning, ran down an embankment and overturned before bursting into flames as a Lake Hill man. Kou Bae, 50, of 3836 Route 212 in Lake Hill was driving the vehicle, which ran off the road two before the fatal accident, including one incident when a tire blew and he kept driving on the rim. The cause of death was ruled as smoke inhalation. Further lab tests are in progress, said the police. The impact of the rollover and crash, coupled with the fact that he was not wearing a seatbelt, resulted in him being thrown all the way to the back of the vehicle, according to police. |
