Two arrested in baseball bat attack

WALLKILL – State Police have charged two Newburgh men with attacking the desk clerk at the Howard Johnsons Motel on Route 211 in the Town of Wallkill with an aluminum baseball bat.

Bryan Robinson, 22, and Simion Delesline, 23, were charged with first-degree robbery and assault, both felonies.

At about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, the men walked into the motel and truck the clerk causing severe lacerations to his head.  They then emptied the cash register and fled.

The clerk was treated and released.
