Nathan S. Kline Institute receives HHS funds

WASHINGTON - Over $430,000 in federal stimulus package dollars have been announced to support medical research and training programs at the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Public Research in Rockland County.

The money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will help move forward on research and give Hudson Valley students and teachers hands-on training and research experience in National Institutes of Health laboratories.  

The institute will receive the funds to support research into alcohol induced brain damage as well as to support efforts to give Hudson Valley students and teachers hands-on training and research experience in NIH-funded laboratories.

Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced the funding.
