Former employee of Westchester County Healthcare Corporation agrees to pay $25,000 for violating public officers’ law

ALBANY – A former employee of the Westchester County Healthcare Corporation (WCHC) has agreed to pay $25,000 to settle charges that she violated the post-employment restrictions of the ethics law by illegally appearing before her former agency within two years of leaving state service, the State Commission on Public Integrity announced Thursday.

A second former state employee also settled with the Commission, agreeing to pay $3,000 for violating the post-employment restrictions of the ethics law.

Marie DiMicco was a supervisor of pharmacy at WCHC. She was hired as a clinical pharmacist of Cardinal Health, Inc. and performed duties as a Cardinal employee at WCHC. She continued to do so even after informed that she was being investigated for violating the law.

Paul Wolfle, a former examiner for the State Workers’ Compensation Board, is paying $3,000 for appearing before his former agency as a representative of Gallagher Bassett of New York. Wolfle submitted six applications for workers’ compensation insurance benefits for the company in 2007 within two years of leaving state service.
