Rehab worker charged with stealing patient credit card

LIBERTY – Village Police in Liberty have arrested a Woodbourne man on three felony charges stemming from his alleged theft of a credit card from a patient at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility, where he worked.

Dashaun Davis, 25, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.

Davis allegedly stole the card from a patient and then tried to retrieve money from an ATM machine HSBC Bank in Liberty.

A bank employee called police to report a man acting suspicious and moments, later police located Davis on South Main Street. The card was recovered.

Davis was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $4,500 bail.
