RCC volunteers collect two tons of food


Two tons of donated food

SUFFERN – It was a countywide food drive and students, faculty and staff at Rockland Community College collected two tons of food recently.

The 50 volunteers stood outside supermarkets and collected the food that was donated for the People to People fund of Nanuet. The charity that provides food, especially around the holidays, to the people of Rockland.

The following stores granted permission to the College to conduct the food drive on their premises:

Stop & Shop—Mount Ivy
Pathmark—Nanuet
Shop Rite—Garnerville
Shop Rite—Tallman
DeCicco Marketplace—New City
Stop & Shop—West Nyack
A&P—Valley Cottage
