Mount Vernon comprehensive plan survey deadline extended

MOUNT VERNON – The City of Mount Vernon has officially extended the deadline for the submission of Comprehensive Plan Community Surveys to April 30th.  Mayor Clinton Young, Jr. has indicated that the process is going well, but would like to encourage more participation.

“We have already heard from hundreds of people in Mount Vernon, but we want to hear from more,” said Mayor Young.  “I cannot emphasize enough how crucial your input is during this process.”

The Department of Planning & Community Development has performed outreach to the community at large and will continue to do so through the new deadline.  Anyone interested in completing a survey can come to City Hall to pick one up or visit www.PLANMV.com and follow instructions for the online Comprehensive Plan Community Survey.
