NYRI evidentiary hearing to be webcast

ALBANY – For those who want a firsthand look at the latest developments pertaining to the proposed New York Regional Interconnect power line project, the state is going to webcast evidentiary hearings.

The state Public Service Commission will webcast the hearing for NYRI’s application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need pursuant to Article VII of the Public Service Law for a High Voltage Direct Current Electric Transmission Line running between National Grid’s Edic Substation in the Town of Marcy, and Central Hudson Gas & Electric’s Rock Tavern Substation in the Town of New Windsor.

The hearing will begin on Monday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. and will continue day-to-day as required.  The Internet broadcast of the evidentiary hearing can be viewed through New York Admin by accessing www.NewYorkAdmin.com from a computer using RealPlayer.

The purpose of the evidentiary hearing is to enter into the record the pre-filed testimony and exhibits of interested parties and to allow cross-examination of parties concerning their testimony before Administrative Law Judges Michelle Phillips and Jeffrey Stockholm.
