Dead goat dumped on Assemblyman Ball’s front porch

Ball

Goat with note

PUTNAM LAKE – Assemblyman Gregory Ball said Friday that a dead goat that was dumped in front of his house in Putnam Lake late at night was disturbing.              “This was the work of some sick individual who needs all of our prayers and needs to check himself into a clinic. He or they tried to get my goat; they didn’t. I am going to continue to fight for the community and take on the tough issues,”

When Ball came home Thursday night after a legislative session in Albany, he found the dead animal on his property with a note in Spanish on a piece of cardboard tied to its neck.  The note was signed “Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13)” a Central American gang reputed to operate in Brewster.

Ball reported the incident to the police and Brewster State Police are investigating.
