Police apprehend suspect after he pulls out Taser probes, fights K-9

BEACON – A 17-year-old Beacon youth, who was wanted in connection with a June 23 burglary of an East Main Street business, was apprehended, but not before he pulled Taser probes out of him and fought off a deployed police K-9.

Beacon City Police responded to a report of a disorderly group early on Sunday morning and they spotted James Bernacchia of Beacon, who was wanted in connection with the burglary.
