MONTICELLO – Funeral services are today for the latest victim of violence in Monticello.  Carl Williams, 25, of Monticello, was found shot to death outside an apartment complex on Wednesday, June 24.

Williams’ obituary said he was an accomplished musician and did volunteer work in his community.

Survivors include his mother, Janette Williams, of Monticello; his father, Dennis Williams of Monticello; his son, Micaiah McNeal Williams of Monticello; a sister, aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at 1 this afternoon at King’s Chapel Mission, 15 Spring Street in Monticello. The Rev. Audrey Giles will officiate. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.

Monticello Village and State Police continue to investigate the murder and pursue leads.
