WAPPINGER – State Police at Wappinger are investigating a reported armed robbery at the Pizza Hut restaurant at 1515 Route 9 in Wappingers Falls.

At about 11 a.m. Saturday, a man approached an employee in the back of the business while armed with a handgun and demanded the store’s deposits.

The bandit took the money and fled south along Old Route 9.

The robber is described as approximately five feet, 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and wearing a black full face ski mast and dark clothing.

Anyone with information or who may have been in the area between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday is asked to call State Police at Wappinger at 845-298-0398.
