Parking ticket amnesty period to begin in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – If you have received a ticket for parking, standing or stopping violations in the City of Newburgh, you will receive a partial reprieve.

Under terms of the amnesty period, which will run from August 1 through September 30, anyone charged with parking violations that took place on or before March 31 would pay only the amount that would be due had the summons been paid within 15 days of the violation. In order to qualify for this dispensation, persons would have to plead guilty.
