MONTICELLO – A 20 foot by 30 foot boiler room at Kutsher’s Hotel in Sullivan County was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.       

Monticello Fire Chief Mark Friedland said the fire broke out at 3 a.m. and consumed the room. The cause is unknown and under investigation.

The boiler room was across a parking lot from the hotel itself and there was no damage to the main building.

There were no injuries.

Assisting at the scene were fire departments from Rock Hill, Hurleyville and Fallsburg and Mobile Medic EMS.
