| Motorcyclist Tasered for failure to comply with police |

HUDSON – Columbia County Sheriff’s officers had to subdue a man with a Taser gun after he fought with a deputy. Officers tried to stop Edward Goehler, 38, of New Concord, OH as he rode his motorcycle. He was finally stopped on Route 9H near the Columbia County Airport after he tried to evade an officer. Goehler fled on foot and fought with the deputies when they caught him and they had to subdue him with the Taser gun. He was charged with DWI, fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to comply with a police officer, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, unregistered motorcycle, refusal to submit to a breath test, resisting arrest, no license plate, operating a motorcycle without a helmet or face shield, speeding and other vehicle and traffic violations. |
