Port Jervis drug dealers arrested

PORT JERVIS – Four people who sold drugs to undercover police officers in the Port Jervis were arrested outside 43 Fowler Street in an ongoing investigation into the sale of drugs in that city. Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force are in an ongoing investigation into drug sales in that city.  The arrests were made at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

One of them, Tommy Alies, 21, of 31 Bushness Avenue in Monticello, is considered by police as a major distributor of heroin in Port Jervis. When arrested he had in his possession 97 decks of heroin with a street value of $2,000, said Detective Michael Worden. Police also seized cash and a 1995 Chevy Cavalier from Alies.

Also arrested were Jeanne Pecoraro, 45, and Benjamin Taylor, 58, both of 43 Fowler Street, and Amanda Webber, 23, of 11 Barcelow Street in Port Jervis.

All four are alleged to have sold drugs to undercover officers.

They were all arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of bail.
