Rockland business updated on ‘green’ principles

SUFFERN – Rockland County business owners were treated to some advice Wednesday at the annual Green Council Seminar held at Rockland Community College by the Rockland Business Association.

They learned everything from the greening of jobs to green technology and sustainable energy, said RBA President Al Samuels.

“We have a commitment to assisting our members to realize bottom line benefits of going green,” he said. The Green Council is not an environmental group, it’s not an advocacy group, it’s an educational forum to help the business community “better the bottom line through adoption of those green principles and practices that can work best for them.”

The RBA unveiled its new online “Tool Kit” designed to be a one-stop resource for businesses to learn how they can grow their green experiences.
