Senate confirms Schneer as Ulster County Court judge

ALBANY – The State Senate Wednesday confirmed the nomination of Rochester Town Justice Deborah Schneer to fill the vacancy on the Ulster County Court bench. Governor Paterson nominated his fellow Democrat to fill the vacant seat earlier this year.
Schneer must run for election in the fall and will be challenged by Republican former Ulster County District Attorney Donald Williams.
Her annual salary is $131,400.
