Putnam attorney pleads guilty to possessing child porn

WHITE PLAINS – A lawyer from Putnam County faces up to 10 years in federal prison following his guilty plea on Tuesday to possession of child pornography on his computer.

Robert Groezinger, 53, of Patterson must also serve three years of supervised release. He was remanded to federal custody pending sentencing in October.

Groezinger’s arrest was part of Operation Predator, a comprehensive initiative of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, aimed at those who prey on children, including human trafficking, international sex tourists, Internet pornographers, and foreign national predators whose crimes make them deportable.

Since the initiative was launched in July 2003, over 11,000 individuals have been arrested for those offenses nationwide.
