Longtime unlicensed contractor pleads guilty

NEW CITY – A Piermont resident has pled guilty to one count of unlicensed home improvement in violation of County of Rockland law. The case was in Orangetown Justice Court.

Andrew Naclerio, who previously held licenses under the names of Andrew Naclerio Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a. Astoria Gardens and Andrew Naclerio Associates, Inc., d/n/a/ Astoria Gardens, was sentenced to up to 10 days in the Rockland County Jail to be served by working on the sheriff’s work release program, and three years’ probation, a fine of $750 to the court, and a civil penalty of $1,000 to the county.

The county Home Improvement Licensing Board revoked his license in October 2005 and that revocation was upheld by an appeals panel in December 2006. After the revocation, Naclerio was found working at a number of homes in Rockland, which resulted in him being cited for violating the law.
