Suspect in custody after shots fired in Yonkers

YONKERS - Police were called to Yonkers Avenue and Mooney Place, late Wednesday evening, on a call of shots fired. Officers spoke to a 17 year old local resident who told police he drove his car into the Citco Gas Station when a group of people started to throw bottles at him and his uncle.

The victim said that a male in the crowd pulled out a gun and shot three times at them. No one was hurt.

While Officers were interviewing the victims the suspect was located and arrested without incident. The gun used in this incident was not recovered by police.

Joshua Orengo, 22,  of 11 Coyle Place was charged with attempted assault 1st degree, criminal mischief 2nd degree and reckless endangerment 2nd degree.
