New Paltz man charged with selling prescription narcotics

NEW PALTZ – New Paltz Police and the URGENT Task Force have arrested a New Paltz man on charges that he illegally sold controlled substance pain relievers in the New Paltz area.

Madison Shearer was intercepted as he was driving to a New Paltz location to sell a quantity of Xanax and Endocet and was taken into custody without incident.

A search of his residence yielded an additional supply of illegal drugs.

Shearer was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail pending a future court appearance.
