Fourth suspect in MySpace case arrested

MONTICELLO – Police in Monticello have arrested a fourth person in connection with the posting of photos showing a 17-year-old local girl being sexually assaulted in a Monticello residence on December 23, 2008.

Police identified the suspect as Elizabeth Crawley, 24, of 50 Wood Avenue, the location where the attack occurred. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with a witness in the fourth degree and obstructing governmental administration.

She was charged with supplying alcohol to minors at her residence and attempting to convince a witness into giving investigators a false statement about the incident.

Police executed search warrants at the residence in Monticello as well as one oh Hatch Street in South Fallsburg. Computers from both locations were seized as part of the investigation.

Last week, three other people were arrested and charged with sexual assault in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching and obstructing governmental administration. Charged were Robert Ayala, 16, Rasheen Purcell, 19, both of South Fallsburg, and Richard Crawley, 38, of 50 Wood Avenue in Monticello.
