Hudson River bridge Conditions

HIGHLAND -- As of 7:30 a.m., all New York Stte Bridge Authority facilities are clear; however, extra caution is advised. Bridge crews have worked throughout the night to maintain the bridges and approach roads. Sanding trucks remain active at all bridges.

Bear Mountain Bridge: currently raining

Newburgh-Beacon Bridge: currently raining, however any small drop in temperature could result in ice. Caution advised, especially on the span and entering the toll plaza.

Mid-Hudson Bridge: light mix of freezing rain and rain. Extra caution advised on ramps and entering the toll plaza.

Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge: currently freezing rain mix. Reduce speed and extra caution advised.

Rip Van Winkle Bridge: freezing rain mixed with sleet. Reduce speed and extra caution advised.

The National Weather Service forecasts a continuing mix of rain and freezing rain with possible sleet throughout the morning. Motorists should exhibit extra caution as road conditions could change very quickly.

Reduce speed, stay well behind sanding trucks and leave extra space between vehicles.
