Thompson to get land in deal with Concord/Empire Resorts

TOWN OF THOMPSON – As part of the plan to develop a new Concord resort, racetrack and racino in Kiamesha Lake, developer Concord Associates plans to give the Town of Thompson five acres of land.

Deputy Town Supervisor William Rieber, Jr. said the town continues to work toward the transfer of that land.

The town plans on erecting a highway barn there at some future date once the land is conveyed to it.

The hotel-resort complex is expected to pour millions into the local economy.
